A walk through the Hochwald

(Half-day programme for groups of at least 10 people)

Take some time to relax, get away from the bustle of city life. We will guide you through some of the most beautiful woodland in the Lower Rhineland. 
The starting-point for this walking tour is the village of Marienbaum, which is now part of the borough of Xanten. It is the oldest place of pilgrimage in the Lower Rhineland.
The beautiful Hochwald is on high ground and you can enjoy a stunning view of the Rhine valley. Depending on your timetable, you can start or end your walk with a rustic lunch in a comfortable restaurant.

The package includes the following:

Guided tour through the Hochwald, two hours

Lunch - local speciality Rheinischer Sauerbraten (marinated beef)

Optional: a visit to the pilgrimage church and the small pilgrimage museum in Marienbaum
