Canons' Dinner

(Half-day programme for groups of at least 10 people)

A warm welcome to Xanten's medieval town centre. Start with a guided tour of the medieval town, the cathedral and the cathedral close, which was the residential part of the monastery. The cathedral's artistic treasures and the impressive houses in the close bear witness to the status the canons once enjoyed.

Afterwards, enjoy a canons' dinner at the "Gothic House", one of the oldest buildings in Xanten and one of its finest restaurants. During the medieval feast, Countess Emeza will entertain you with some anecdotes from the canons' lives.
