Archaeological Park Xanten

The history of Xanten did not start in the Middle Ages, as is the case with many other towns, but much earlier. About A.D. 98 the Romans founded the civilian settlement Colonia Ulpia Traiana, which both administratively and architecturally reflected the high standards of Roman "town planning".
The Archaeological Park Xanten brings the Roman history to life and informs visitors about the work of archaeologists.
